You can rent a workboat for various different tasks on and around the water. We have landing craft to move people or goods in difficult-to-access locations, vessels with a crane to help launch equipment or underwater drones, vessels with a diving hatch and propeller protection for diving operations (dive support) and certified patrol vessels for carrying out vessel traffic service or as survey boats.
Our workboats can be used on all inland waterways in the Netherlands. Whether the work is being undertaken on a narrow canal, shallow pond, major river, busy waterway or major lake, we have the right workboat available for rent. All of our workboats can be rented with an experienced skipper (full skipper charter). The skipper is responsible for navigating the vessel safely. He or she will ensure that the vessel is properly inspected and ready for use before sailing. On the journey, the skipper will be aware of other shipping and remain responsible for people on board. Almost all of our workboats can be rented without skipper (bare boat charter). For the majority of vessels, a sailing licence and marine radio certificate are required. We recommend not taking to the water without experience. Small workboats can be rented without a licence for smaller bodies of water. A workboat is a vessel equipped for work on and around the water. Workboats are built to be robust and suitable for a wide variety of tasks, from transporting people and equipment by water to undertaking inspection work.

For minor jobs, a small workboat is often sufficient. Another benefit is that renting a small workboat does not necessarily require a sailing licence, and in many cases, the trailer can be transported without a BE driving licence. This makes it an accessible option for people who want to rent a workboat for occasional use and don’t need a skipper. A good example of small workboat rental is an aluminium workboat with limited speed, requiring no sailing licence. It’s worth noting that a small workboat from werkboot.nl is by no means small and can still accommodate up to four people along with equipment.
Renting a large workboat is the right option if you need to take several people with you to your destination. The HDPE workboat is ten metres in length, while the cabin accommodates six people. A large workboat has the capacity to transport large machines or even a quad on deck. Larger workboats with enclosed cabins can also be fitted with stoves. This makes it more comfortable to rent in the winter months. Are you or your team planning to work at a location that has no facilities for an extended period of time?
