HDPE workboats are as good as indestructible. Anything can break, of course, but an HDPE workboat is much stronger than an aluminium or polyester workboat. For work under harsher conditions, we recommend renting a HDPE workboat. With an HDPE workboat, you can easily drop off people or materials at locations that cannot easily be accessed by other vessels, such as with an HDPE landing craft. There could also be machinery on board or work being undertaken that could cause damage to another vessel. What is an HDPE boat?

HDPE stands for high-density polyethylene, which is a thermoplastic polymer made from petroleum (a type of plastic). The HDPE panels are welded together to create a sturdy, watertight assembly. An HDPE boat is lightweight and always remains afloat. Our HDPE boats can be fully submerged, but will always resurface. With 2x 115 HP motors and a length of ten metres, our HDPE boats are well suited to the majority of tasks.

What is an HDPE workboat used for?

An HDPE workboat can be rented for activities including:

Transporting people and materials by water
Dropping off people or materials against a ramp
Work from the water involving smaller machinery

They also have all relevant certificates and diplomas. Including a sailing license, VHF radio certificate and VCA certificate. When you rent a work boat with skipper, our vessels are insured both hull and P&I. Do you hesitate between renting a work boat with skipper or without? Even if you do have your boat license, renting a work boat with a skipper may be advisable. Especially in waters unknown to you or in busy waters, an experienced skipper makes the difference.
